About This Fundraiser:

Instead of charging you to attend a fancy black and white event, and then giving you a lavish dinner - we have a different approach. In exchange for your donation, we will 'gift' you a Massachusetts Lottery ticket. The larger the donation - the larger the lottery ticket gift we give to you. You may win big. You may win small. And you may not win at all. But for sure, this act of kindness will certainly impact your karma.

And what is karma? Simply put, "What goes around, comes around." It is the thoughts and actions that you take today, that you experience the consequences of later. So what are you waiting for? Isn't it time to send some good karma your way?

A Short Overview of Our Foundation

The Orphan Foundation's mission is to find loving homes for the 163 million orphans around the world. If you are interested in adoption, please go to our Adoption page for guides and more information.

Background on Our Foundation

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation, and we are blessed with the wonderful mission of helping to rescue orphaned children - especially those children who are determined to have "special needs." We help lower and middle income US adopting families who are opening their hearts and homes to these wonderful children. These wonderful families have a significantly increased financial burden due to the cost of the child's associated medical or psychological treatments.

Sometimes Statistics Speak Volumes:

There are 143,000,000 orphans in the world
There are an additional 20,000,000 “displaced children” in the world
The combined count of these categories makes the orphan population the 7th largest nation on the planet – slightly larger than the population of Russia
In some Middle Eastern countries, unwanted children with Downs Syndrome are used for terrorist acts of bombing.
In Africa, homeless children are armed and used for war.
In Africa, there is a concerted effort to extend children’s lives beyond 5 years of age
In Eastern Europe, less than 50% of the orphan population will live to see their 20th birthdays
In Eastern Europe, of the orphans that survive their 20th birthdays, 50% will end up in organized crime, drugs, or prostitution
In the US, 25% of foster children become homeless
30,000 leave the system every year without getting into a family
56% of foster care children enter the unemployment ranks
27% of the emancipated male children in foster care end up in jail
30% of the emancipated females in foster care experience early parenthood

We are pleased to announce that we were able to award a grant in January 2013 through Faith International Adoptions in Tacoma, WA. This was to an amazing lady who makes less than $27,000/year and it's her second adoption. My thanks to all of you for your contributions. There were so many wonderful families that we couldn't fund this quarter, but this little girl from China will flourish in the love of her new family.

Please support them by becoming a patron.###Did you know?Most credit unions and banks offer a product called a HELOC, which is a home equity line of credit with your home as security. Today's rates are pretty low, and you only pay interest on the money - as you use it. When you look at a $20,000 loan - with today's rates - payments would range from $50/month (the usual minimum payment) to $135/month.
