About This Fundraiser

Instead of charging you to attend a fancy black and white event, and then giving you a lavish dinner - we have a different approach.  In exchange for your donation, we will 'gift' you a Massachusetts Lottery ticket.  The larger the donation - the larger the lottery ticket gift we give to you.   You may win big.  You may win small.  And you may not win at all.  But for sure, this act of kindness will certainly impact your karma. 

And what is karma?  Simply put, "What goes around, comes around." It is the thoughts and actions that you take today, that you experience the consequences of later. So what are you waiting for?  Isn't it time to send some good karma your way?

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission, the top 5 agents that sell lottery tickets are shown in the picture below.  Why?  This is where the biggest lottery tickets are sold.  In fact, at Ted's Stateline Mobil in Methuen, he's had 3 big winners at $42M, $35M, and $17M, and several more at the single digit million level, or hundreds of thousands dollar level.   So at this donation level, we're going to travel clear across the Commonwealth to buy your Season Ticket at Ted's Stateline Mobil.

How To Enter:

(1) You must be 18 years of age or older, and you can participate EVEN INTERNATIONALLY, as we're buying the tickets for you in Massachusetts;

(2) Pick a donation amount in the right column, and you'll be asked to provide your name, address, city, state, and zip code, along with a telephone number - all part of the PayPal process.

(3) If you pick the higher donation amounts - $50 and higher - we'll purchase one or more season tickets for you in the Massachusetts lottery, AND we'll register it with the lottery for you. That means the lottery will notify you when you win.

(4) All Massachusetts Lottery rules apply, and this offer is void where prohibited by law. To find out more details on the Mega Millions game, as well as the scratch tickets please go to www.MassLottery.com.

(5) Season Ticket Level Donations:  Note that the Massachusetts lottery requires your telephone number when we register your ticket on your behalf.  You'll be asked for your telephone number when you check out.  If you forget - no worries.  We'll contact you for it through your email account.  It just delays processing until we get it. You're just saving a step for us because PayPal doesn't pass that information to us.

NOTE: We are not a lottery ticket agent, and as such, we do not get 5% of the ticket price, nor 1% of the winnings.  We do have to pay 5% to the lottery commission for organizing this fundraiser, and an additional 2.7% to PayPal for processing.

We sure wouldn't object to your sending a small percentage of your winnings our way!  However, this is not a requirement to enter the contest.

*How To Get Rewarded for Volunteering:

You can sign up to help us spread the word and get rewarded for doing that.  (Note: you must be 18 years of age to be in this volunteer program). 

If you've already donated to us - at any level - you are automatically eligible to refer people.  Just have them type your first and last name in the "Referred By [First/Last Name]:" box before they add their donation to the cart.  Depending on the level of your friend's donation, you will be 'gifted' a Mass Lottery ticket based on the following table:

• $5 Friend of TOF Donation - No gift for the referring volunteer
• $10 Advocate of TOF Donation - (1) $1 Mass Lottery Scratch Ticket for the referring volunteer
• $20 Sponsor Level Donation - (1) $2 Mass Lottery Scratch Ticket for the referring volunteer
• $50 Season Ticket Donation - (1) $5 Mass Lottery Scratch Ticket for the referring volunteer
• $100 Season Ticket Donation - (1) $10 Mass Lottery Scratch Ticket for the referring volunteer
• $200 Season Ticket Donation - (1) $25 Mass Lottery Season Ticket for the referring volunteer (26 draws)
• $250 Season Ticket Donation - (1) $25 Mass Lottery Season Ticket for the referring volunteer (26 draws)

If you haven't donated, we don't have your name, address and telephone number.  You can provide that through VoluteerMatch at this link: http://www.volunteermatch.org/search/opp1326165.jsp. Or simply send a message to Volunteer@TheOrphanFoundation.org and be sure to include your first and last name, your complete address, your email, and your telephone number.  Once you receive an email from us saying you are activated as a Karma Lottery Volunteer, you can begin referring people to this fundraiser.
